C’est par hasard que nous avons rencontré Matt München, au cours d’une soirée improbable, qui mériterait, entre parenthèses, d’être portée à l’écran.

Nos péripéties nous amènent in fine dans notre modeste studio, autour d’une bonne bouteille de pinot. A ce stade, nous ne savons pas si Matt München est bien le compositeur et musicien talentueux qu’il prétend être.

Matt s’installe au clavier et nous faisons tourner notre bon vieux 4 pistes Tascam, tout en manipulant une pédale de delay analogique au bord de la surchauffe.

18 minutes plus tard, ses mains quittent les touches du clavier.

Après avoir repris nos esprits, Matt nous propose d’enregistrer une autre pièce, mais avec un son beaucoup plus spatial … nous enfonçons les touches “record” et “play” et fermons les yeux.

Matt appelle toute ses pièces “Klavierstücke” et leur assigne un numéro : nous avons eu le privilège d’enregistrer ce soir-là les numéros #39 et #16.

Ce sont ces deux enregistrements que CRABE Records vous propose de découvrir dans une cassette en série limitée.

Ne cherchez pas le Facebook de Matt München. Il n’est pas sur Twitter non plus.
D’ailleurs, si vous le croisez faites le nous savoir : nous n’avons plus aucune nouvelle du jeune homme.

Pure chance made us meet Matt München, during an incredible night which would btw deserve a movie in itself …

We end that particular night in our small studio, with a good bottle of pinot. We don’t know yet if Matt München is really the talentuous musician and composer he claims to be.

Matt sits at the keyboard and we start our good old tascam 4 track cassette recorder while twisting the knobs of a dying analog delay pedal.

18 minutes later, his hands leave the keys.

A couple of minutes later, Matt wants to record another piece, but with a much more spacey sound… we push “play” and “record” and we close our eyes.

Matt gives the “Klavierstücke” title plus a number to all his pieces : we had the luck this night to record #39 and #16.

Those two amazing pieces are now available on a limited edition CRABE Records cassette.

Don’t look Matt München up on Facebook. He’s also not on Twitter. By the way, if you happen to meet him, let us know : we have absolutely no news from the guy.
